Unicorn Ship Explosion semi the improvised sonics and wander down a cul-de-sac. Two musicians pleasing them two, riding the rhinoceros of improvised failure and searching for magical moments behind the sofa. You can’t always win and that’s life. Roberto Pennypincher and Sash! Oblong are naive and failing. The musical journey is without a plan b. Kaleidoscopes of sound with rhythmical nonsense.
Lara Jones makes thrillingly disconcerting music - a dizzying mix of accessible and avant-garde sounds with edgy, powerful production. Through an alchemical combination of effects and synths, she cleverly weaves together, feedback, swirling distorted keys and ever-evolving soundscapes. It’s these qualities that she’s conjured up on this startling home-produced set as she pours her life and surroundings into these highly emotive tracks.
sm^sher is the moniker of Stroud based artist and producer Imogen Mason. With her debut album set for release later this year on unruly London label Scrawl, sm^sher's sonic world
is impulsive, visceral and tapestried; weaving meditations on memory, grief, addiction, introversion and hope around industrial soundscape, fractured beats, drone-backed folk song and collage.
With full visual show and supporting DJs this is a one of happening of monumental proportions.
